5:15 PM – After-School Children’s Program!
The Jewish Individualized Learning (JIL) Program is a one hour mentoring session which meets on a weekly basis after school. It is geared towards children grades 2-9. Each child is assigned a leader with whom he/she will learn about a topic of Judaism of her choice (ex: Hebrew Language, Jewish Holidays, Weekly Torah Portion). After the one-on-one learning, the children and leaders often engage in a game, an activity or create a project all together.
*Key points for Parents:*
- Give your kids the chance to learn about their heritage in a fun and friendly environment
- Your child will develop a lasting relationship with a mature and responsible yet fun and loving role model
- Because the majority of the learning is one-on-one, your child receives individualized attention
JIL is run by the Jewish Education Program (JEP) of Long Island, which has been servicing the Jewish community for a quarter of a century with its many events, shabbatonim, and this unique children’s mentoring program.
The program is FREE, but requires registration. Come to our open-house on September 12th to register!
